Dance Upstairs is The Yadkin Valley’s Premier Dance School and has been under the same ownership of the Shover family since it was established in 1977. The school has two locations; in historic downtown Elkin at 246 East Main Street (in the old Smithey’s Dept Store) and in Yadkinville at the Yadkin YMCA. Offering classes for ages 2 and up we consider our teaching methods to be a compromise of education and enjoyment. We offer instruction in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Tumbling, and have been nationally recognized for our Pre-School Dance Program.
