Rhythm On Main Now has an APP…see below how to Download it
1. On your Smart Device go to your App Store and Search Mi Dance App
2. Search for Rhythm On Main
3. Once you choose Rhythm On Main it will ask you to choose a location “Elkin” or “Mount Airy”…choose the location your child takes classes at
4. Use your E-mail and Password you use to Login to our Website (Studio Director Software)
5. At this point you should be in and able to enjoy the APP
The Rhythm On Main APP will be used to send Push Notifications, you can see events on the Google Calendar, we will have Groups that you can join to stay up to date on information, and we will use it for great interactive opportunities. You can even register for classes and pay on your account using the APP. It is linked directly to our website for mobile friendly viewing. We will use this as a communication source for reminders, weather cancellations, make-up class notifications, and so much more!!! We are very excited to have this technology for our Rhythm Family.

TUMBLING CLASSES SPRING SHOWCASE
We will be doing the Tumbling Showcase a little different this year. Instead of Tumbling Routines doing routines in Costume as part of the on stage showcase we will be having an in-studio Showcase by Age Group/Class on Saturday June 3rd in the Morning. Classes will perform short routines to display skills and will do a skills demonstration for parents and two guests. They will be presented with Awards for the year of Tumbling at the conclusion of the Class Performance/Demonstration. Tumbling Classes will have Uniforms for this Performance and for Pictures that will be the week of April 17th-20th. The cost for Uniforms and the Performance/Demonstration Day will be $40.00 per student and will be placed on accounts in February. We are excited for this opportunity for our Tumbling Students.
FEBRUARY KINDNESS at Elkin Location
We will be asking students and Families to bring items for The Ark Homeless Shelter in February. They have several kids right now. Rhythm On Main bought and donated a NEW refrigerator for the The Ark and now we challenge you to help us fill it with heathy snacks. They also need cleaning supplies and other household items. We will be posting needed items at the Elkin Location in February. We will take all Donations to The Ark.

Rhythm Dancers attend Dance Dreams in NYC
Sierra Crabb and Aubree Dobson along with Mr. Will attended Dance Dreams powered by Gerberours in New York City August 1st-5th, 2017. Sierra & Aubree were presented with Award of Excellence Scholarships to attend the week long intensive at the Gear-Up Convention in Rock Hill, SC last November. The week in the city began with a Red Carpet Welcome Party followed by seeing some of the sights of the city. They saw three Broadway Shows including Aladdin, Anastasia, and on the final night Aubree went to see Chicago while Mr. Will and Sierra went to see Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. They had the opportunity to take classes with Cast Members from all the Broadway Shows they saw and took classes at Alvin Ally Studios. They went through a Broadway Style Audition and performed a Flash Mob in Columbus Circle. In addition to shows and classes the participants had the chance to meet with Broadway Performers, Choreographers, and Directors to learn about the industry. This was amazing week for our Rhythm Dancers and a great opportunity to spend time with dancers from across the United States.

Rhythm Awards at Nationals 2017
Three Rhythm Soloist competed in the Mister & Miss Dance USA National Titles Competition June 15-18th in Rock Hill, SC during the Boogie Fever USA National Dance Championships. The Rhythm’s very own Aubree Dobson was crowned Petite Miss Dance USA 2018. She will spend the next year traveling to conventions and competitions as well as participating in community service projects. To captured the coveted national title Aubree prepared an Open Solo that incorporated Jazz, Contemporary, and Acrobatic Styles to a cover version of “She Shot Me Down” choreographed by Rhythm On Main Director Kristy Neely. Aubree won Preliminary Awards in Interview and Audition Class. Aubree is excited for the year to come. Also a Semi-Finalist in Petite Miss Dance USA was Presley Baker who perfoemd a Musical Theater routine to “Little Me” and won a Preliminary Interview Award. Sierra Crabb was a Semi-Finalist for Junior Miss Dance USA and she perofmed a Tap Routine to “Proud Mary.” Rhythm On Main is so proud of these three young ladies for all of their hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes preparing for and while competing at the Mister & Miss Dance USA Titles Competition. There were 88 dancers that competed for the National Titles that were selected from over 1,500 solo contestants in regional competition held February-May. The Semi-Finalist compete in Four Categories: Interview, Audition Class, Solo Routine, and Stage Presence. Stage Presence is a Category where semi-finalist are in formal attire and must walk in choreographed formations and speak at the microphone introducing themselves and answering a question given to them a few minutes before they go on stage for the category. The Mister & Miss Dance USA Titles Competition is in its 12th year and awards college scholarships to the Senior Age Division Winners to further their education and provides summer intensive and convention opportunities to all ages. The Age Divisions are Mini 6-8, Petite 9-10, Junior 11-12, Teen 13-14, and Senior 15-19.

Zoe Davis won a Ruby Award and 2rd Overall Tiny Solo for her Character Jazz Routine “I Ama Albatroz”. Lacey King won an Emerald Award for her Lyrical Routine “Smile”. Sierra Crabb won Emerald Award for her Tap Routine “Proud Mary”. Eden Willis won an Emerald Award and a Judges Shooting Star Award for her lyrical routine “There’s A Hero”. Presley Baker won a Ruby Award and 3rd Overall Advanced Petite Solo for her Musical Theater Routine “Little Me”. Aubree Dobson won a Ruby Award and 2nd Overall Advanced Petite Solo for her Open Routine “Shot Me Down”. Molly Gibson won an Emerald Award for her Musical Theater Solo “Luck Be A Lady”. Abby Bedsaul won a Ruby Award for her Lyrical Solo “We Dance”. Abby also won a Ruby Award and a Judges Shooting Star Award for her Contemporary Solo “Thy Will”. We are very proud of all of our Rhythm Soloist who attend the National Championships. There were Thirty-Two Studios and Over 600 routines that competed at the National Competition. These dancers all displayed what hard work, practice, and passion can accomplish.
Rhythm in performs at Disney World 2017
Eight Rhythm Dancers and Rhythm Director Kristy Neely along with their families traveled to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida July 24-28th and performed as part of the Disney Performing Arts Program with Gerber Tours. Studios must be approved and selected by Disney Performing Arts to be a part of the program. Rhythm On Main was honored to have been Invited to perform at Walt Disney World. Participating dancers were Zoe Davis, Alyssa Davis, Sarah Billings, Aubree Dobson, McKayla Johnson, Carson Nunnemaker, and Jaron Nunnemaker. This was an exciting opportunity for these Rhythm Students and we are so very proud of each and every one of them. The week at Disney was the experience of a lifetime for these young dancers and their families.
